Last Wednesday, September 18th, we had the pleasure of attending Shopify Editions Summer'24 in Madrid, an event that brought together most of the companies that are part of the Shopify ecosystem.
The central theme of the event was unified commerce , an approach that requires creating a unified user experience in both physical and digital stores.

What's new in Shopify Summer Edition 2024
Among all the new features presented and under the Unified concept, we highlight:
- Markets – available starting in 2025 – is a new unified environment that allows you to centralize all your business's sales environments (wholesale, B2B, B2C, etc.) in a single location. Creating new regions, expanding internationally, and creating specific catalogs for clients and/or sales agents is very simple and intuitive.
- Combined Listings App , which facilitates the management of products across multiple platforms, improving seller efficiency.
- New Artificial Intelligence (AI) features
- Sidekick , the Shopify assistant that, when integrated into your store, has complete knowledge of your business and data, providing you with detailed and effective information and suggestions.
- Creating images with AI , now also on mobile
- Quick responses to customers have been proven to generate up to 69% higher conversions. Shopify Magic offers you real-time response suggestions for any of your customer's questions.
- Renewed partner program
- Shopify is betting on the B2B market, where it has experienced 140% growth in the second quarter of the year, with specific functionalities for this segment:
- Manual payment methods to facilitate different payment methods and methods: transfer, card, deferred payments, prepayments...
- Optimization of the Trade theme , specific to B2B.
- Presentation of the Business Center , which will allow companies to manage all their B2B data in an integrated manner.
After this event, there's no doubt that the future of eCommerce lies in unifying physical and digital experiences , global expansion, and the adoption of emerging technologies like AI.
