Last week, Shopify launched its latest Editions, Shopify Spring Edition 2026, with the slogan Everywhere, a strong commitment from Shopify to:
- Develop an e-commerce platform present across all channels, including other e-commerce platforms.
- Democratize access to agentic commerce for any business, even if they don't work with Shopify, through the UCP protocol.
In this new edition, once again focused on AI, more than 150 platform improvements have been introduced. And from Upango, we want to highlight the following:
- Agentic Storefronts:
- Automatically display your store's products on AI platforms.
- Consolidate data from all sessions in one place for easier management.
- Discover how your products are positioned on AI platforms and leverage Sidekick to improve their descriptions.
▪️Catalog API and UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) allow you to create shopping experiences with AI agents, expanding the reach of your products.
▪️Increased Sidekick capabilities to offer greater personalization and agility in responses. Some of the new features include: multiple-choice answers, multitasking in the background, or your assistant's presence anywhere in the app.
▪️Shopify Inbox, a virtual assistant that will recommend products based on their history for all customers logged in with Shop.
▪️Free unification of physical and online stores, streamlining customer onboarding, product changes in the cart, and invoicing.
▪️Campaign Autopilot: a new feature that allows you to launch AI-driven marketing campaigns across different channels and manage them from your Shopify Admin. Autopilot creates your campaigns and launches them on platforms it believes will have the highest return, adjusting them based on results. From your Admin, you can modify the budget, pause, resume, and cancel any campaign at any time.

▪️ Visual markers with detailed information on charts for better data comprehension.

▪️Get analytical data in Shopify Flow: a new feature to run queries over a certain period and use the results to execute a subsequent action.
▪️Improved inventory management thanks to information extracted by Sidekick on sales history, demand forecasting, and available stock.
▪️Shop App, Shopify's consumer-facing shopping application, built on the customer's purchase history within the Shopify ecosystem. It functions as a personal environment where users can track orders, manage purchases, save information, and repurchase from brands they've previously interacted with.
▪️Shop Pay, the secure payment platform designed by Shopify, now available for any business and any e-commerce platform.
A new edition designed to facilitate the creation and management of online stores, improve user experience, and democratize the use of AI to foster agentic commerce.
